Medical hair loss treatment is the treatment a doctor recommends once they understand why your hair is falling out. Most often the cause is pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), which affects both men and women. Sometimes it is diffuse shedding linked to stress, having a baby, a strict diet or a deficiency, which is treated by correcting that cause.
The treatments with the strongest evidence for pattern hair loss are medicines, taken by mouth or applied to the scalp, and they need a prescription. That is why they should not be chosen online or bought off the shelf. The aim is to slow or stop the loss and, in some cases, regain some density. They work for as long as you keep using them, and change is judged from three to six months onwards.
We do it online for patients living anywhere in Spain: a video consultation with guided photos, lab tests at a laboratory near you when indicated and, if medical treatment suits you, a private e-prescription that you take to a pharmacy. Your reviews are by video call too, with comparable photos each time.
If mesotherapy, PRP or a hair transplant would also help, those procedures take place at our clinic in Fuengirola. They are not essential: medical treatment is the foundation, and anything else is added only when it adds something.
