What it is
PRP hair treatment (platelet-rich plasma, sometimes called hair cell therapy) consists of drawing a small sample of your blood, concentrating the platelets and their growth factors, and injecting them superficially into the scalp, in the areas where the diagnosis has detected loss of density.
Growth factors are biological signals involved in tissue repair that can support the follicle's environment. It's your own biological material, with no external components, which explains its good tolerance.

Because it uses your own plasma, hair cell therapy tends to be well tolerated. Common effects are mild and local: discomfort during the draw or the session, redness, tenderness or small transient bruises at the injection site. As with any technique that breaks the skin, there's a small risk of infection or local reaction. It isn't recommended, or needs careful assessment, in certain blood or clotting disorders and in active scalp infection or inflammation; in pregnancy or breastfeeding it's postponed or reassessed out of caution. A prior diagnosis rules these situations out.
