What they are
Dermal fillers, used with restraint
Dermal fillers are gels injected under the skin to replace lost volume, add structure, define a contour or hydrate. The ones we use are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body produces naturally and that holds water in the skin.
Each area needs a different product: a softer gel to hydrate or for the lips, a firmer one to give support at the cheekbone or chin. Choosing the right product, the right amount and the right depth is what separates a natural result from one that shows.
Hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body, and in most cases it can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed. That reversibility is one of the reasons it is our filler of choice.
Who it's for
It may make sense if…
- Specific areas of your face have lost volume over the years.
- You would like to define or balance features such as your lips, chin or jawline.
- You want a result that looks natural, can be adjusted and can be reversed.
- You would rather a doctor looked at your whole face before suggesting an area.
The doctor decides whether it is indicated at the consultation.

Treatments
What we can treat with dermal fillers
Cheeks
Restoring support to the midface.
- 30 min
- per session
- 12-18
- months, as a guide
- Reversible
- hyaluronic acid
Cheek filler restores what the midface loses with age: bone and fat volume around the cheekbone. As that support goes, the cheek flattens, the tissues drop, and the tear trough, the nasolabial folds and a generally tired look become more noticeable.
We place a firm hyaluronic acid gel at strategic points over the bone. Planned properly, the goal is not a bigger cheek but to rebuild the structure that holds up the midface, with a gentle lifting effect.
The body gradually breaks the material down, and it can be dissolved if needed. In younger people with flatter cheekbones it can also add definition, always in proportion with the rest of the face.
It may make sense if
- Your cheeks look flatter or lower than they did a few years ago.
- Your tear troughs or nasolabial folds have deepened because the midface has lost support.
- You would like more definition in your cheekbones without an artificial look.
- You want a non-surgical treatment that can be adjusted and reversed.
Chin
Projection and definition to balance the profile.
- 30 min
- per session
- 12-18
- months, as a guide
- Reversible
- hyaluronic acid
Chin filler improves the projection, height or definition of the chin without surgery. We inject a firm hyaluronic acid, designed to give structure, at specific points on the chin.
The effect goes beyond the chin itself. A receding chin makes the nose look bigger, leaves the lips without support and blurs the angle of the neck. Balancing the chin is often the change that does most for the profile with the least product.
The body gradually breaks the material down, and it can be dissolved if needed. When the lack of projection is large, or comes from the position of the jaw, surgery or orthodontic treatment may be a better option, and we will tell you so honestly.
It may make sense if
- You feel your chin is small or set back, and it throws your profile off balance.
- Your nose looks bigger in profile than it really is.
- You would like a cleaner transition between chin and neck.
- You prefer a non-surgical option that can be adjusted and reversed.
Nasolabial folds
Softening the fold between the nose and the mouth.
- 30 min
- per session
- 9-12
- months, as a guide
- Reversible
- hyaluronic acid
The nasolabial fold, often called the smile line or laughter line, runs from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth. Everyone has one. What changes with age is its depth, because the midface loses volume and the tissues drop and gather beside the fold.
Nasolabial fold filler placed directly in the fold can soften it, but on its own and in excess it looks heavy. So we first look at the support of the cheek: restoring a little volume at the cheekbone often lifts and softens the fold more naturally, and direct filler is kept for whatever remains.
We work with hyaluronic acid, a material the body gradually breaks down and that can be dissolved if needed.
It may make sense if
- The fold between your nose and mouth shows even when you are not smiling.
- Your midface has lost volume and your expression looks more tired or serious.
- You want to soften it without the area looking filled or your smile changing.
- You would like an approach that looks at your whole face, not only the fold.
Marionette lines
The lines that run down from the corners of the mouth.
- 30 min
- per session
- 9-12
- months, as a guide
- Reversible
- hyaluronic acid
Marionette lines are the folds that run down from the corners of the mouth towards the chin. They deepen as the lower face loses volume, the tissues drop and the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth downwards keep working.
Their effect is out of all proportion to their size: they make the mouth look sad or cross even when you are not. Marionette line filler restores support to the area and softens the fold, and it is often combined with a little support to the chin or jawline so the result holds.
Hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body and can be dissolved if needed. The aim is not to erase the line but to let your face at rest look like you again.
It may make sense if
- The corners of your mouth have turned down, and people tell you that you look sad or cross when you are not.
- A fold runs down from your mouth towards your chin and has deepened over the years.
- You want a subtle change that freshens the lower face.
- You would like a plan that considers the chin and jawline too, not only the line.
Full face
One combined plan for the whole face.
- 1-3
- sessions in the plan
- Combined
- around your face
- No surgery
- normal life
A full-face treatment, or non-surgical facelift, is not one specific technique but a way of working. Rather than filling a single line, we assess the whole face and design a plan around what has actually changed over time.
Depending on your face, the plan may combine hyaluronic acid to restore support at the cheeks, chin or jawline, anti-wrinkle treatment for expression lines, collagen biostimulators to improve firmness, and skin quality treatments. It is spread over one to three sessions so each step has time to settle.
Expectations matter: it improves structure, firmness and a rested look, but it is not the same as a surgical facelift when there is a lot of laxity or excess skin. If that is your case, we will tell you.
It may make sense if
- Your face has changed as a whole: less support, deeper folds, less firm skin.
- You would rather have a balanced, overall result than treat one line at a time.
- You want to look fresher without surgery or time off.
- You value a phased plan, with a doctor checking every step.
Facial structure and volume
Over the years, a face loses more than radiance, it loses support.
- By vector
- anatomical approach
- Months
- typical duration
- Natural
- result
Facial structure is the architecture that holds up your face from within: bone, deep fat compartments, ligaments and the collagen that keep skin taut and proportions in place. It is not the same as a wrinkle or a mark. It is the scaffolding everything else rests on.
That scaffolding changes over time. Bone subtly resorbs, especially around the eye socket, cheekbone and jaw. Deep fat compartments empty and descend. Dermal collagen decreases and skin loses firmness. The result is not just more wrinkles, it is a face that looks tired, hollow or drawn down, even when skin quality itself is good. Restoring structure means returning support where it has been lost, not filling for the sake of filling.
At Rejuvelook we work this layer from a logic of reconstruction, not accumulation. The goal is to recover your face's natural points of support, the cheekbone vector, the jawline, chin projection, so skin has something to rest on again. It is one more expression of ageing well: caring for the base, not disguising the surface.
It may make sense if
- Your face looks tired or drawn down even without marked wrinkles, and you suspect volume loss.
- Your cheekbones have lost projection, grooves appear beside the nose and mouth, or the facial oval has lost definition.
- You prefer a gradual, natural change that restores your own structure, not a different face.
- You want to fold facial rejuvenation into a broader view of your health and longevity.

Safety
Risks of dermal fillers and when we would not recommend them
Swelling, redness and small bruises are common after a filler and settle within a few days. Less often there can be irregularities, small lumps or asymmetry, which can usually be corrected. All facial fillers carry an uncommon but important risk of affecting a blood vessel, which is why they should be given by a trained doctor with a protocol in place. We do not recommend treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active infection in the area, an uncontrolled autoimmune condition or a known allergy to any component.

What is hyaluronic acid?
A substance your body produces naturally that holds water. In aesthetic medicine it is used as a gel to restore volume, add structure or hydrate.
Are dermal fillers safe?
Hyaluronic acid is one of the most widely used and studied filler materials, and the body breaks it down over time. Like any medical treatment it has risks, which are uncommon and are kept to a minimum when a trained doctor gives it.
How long do fillers last?
Between six and eighteen months depending on the area, the product and the person. They last less in areas that move a lot, such as the lips, and longer in areas of support, such as the chin.
Can a filler be reversed?
Yes. In most cases it can be dissolved with an enzyme at the clinic.
Does it hurt?
We use a topical or local anaesthetic, and many products already contain one. Most people find it very manageable.
Will people be able to tell?
With good judgement and moderate amounts, no. The aim is a natural result in proportion with your face.
Is the consultation in English?
Yes. Your consultation, your plan and your aftercare instructions can all be in English.
Will my face look bigger?
That is not the aim. The idea is to restore lost support or add definition in proportion with your face. Too much product is exactly what we avoid.
Will it also help my under-eyes and nasolabial folds?
Often, yes, because part of their depth comes from a lack of support in the cheek. At your consultation we tell you what to expect in your case.
Is it the same as a chin implant?
No. A chin implant or a bone procedure is surgery. Chin filler needs no operating theatre, can be reversed and can be adjusted, although it has limits when the deficit is large.
Will I see the result straight away?
You see a change from the start, but the final result is judged once the swelling has gone down, at two to three weeks.
Can the nasolabial fold be removed completely?
Removing it completely is not the goal: it is a natural fold, and a face without one looks odd. The aim is to soften it so your expression looks fresher.
Why are you talking about my cheeks when my concern is the fold?
Because the fold often deepens when the cheek loses support. Restoring that support softens the fold more naturally than filling the fold alone.
Are they treated only with filler?
Filler in the line is often combined with support to the chin or jawline. In some cases relaxing the muscle that pulls the corner of the mouth down also helps.
What exactly does a full-face treatment include?
It depends on your face. It may include hyaluronic acid for support, anti-wrinkle treatment, collagen biostimulators and skin quality treatments. At your consultation we tell you what you need and what you do not.
Is it the same as a surgical facelift?
No. It improves structure, firmness and a rested look without surgery, but it does not remove skin. When there is a lot of laxity, surgery may be the right option.
What does restoring facial structure mean?
It means returning support to the deep layers that hold up your face, bone, deep fat, collagen, not just treating surface skin. When that base recovers, the face looks firmer and more rested in a natural way.
Why does my face look drawn down if I don't have many wrinkles?
Because firmness and shape do not depend only on skin, they depend on the scaffolding underneath. Losing bone and deep fat volume leaves skin without support, so it descends, even if its quality is good. Sometimes the issue is structural, not wrinkles.
